Very difficult to pick a man of the match because there were so many good performances. However, if pushed I would go for Alex Neil because he never put a foot wrong the whole game. Not far behind him were Page, Canning, Gordon, Longridge & May. As Gilbert has said it was also a really poor Falkirk team on show today and a much higher score wouldn't have flattered Accies. I've just about thawed out now and starting to look forward to a tough game against Livingston on Wednesday night.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06616290522019301256noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8677526178580402746.post-70441978916828135802013-03-23T23:37:48.970+00:002013-03-23T23:37:48.970+00:00Accies were really good today. The decision to play Alex Neil as an additional centre back with Ziggy & Stephen Hendrie as wing backs worked well and the threat of Lyle Taylor was completely nullified. In fact the only time he was prominent was in the first half when he went down with a head knock; in fact all that had happened was that Martin Canning had headed the ball against him. The goals came at good times and were well taken and we really ought to have won the game by far more.

But what surprised me was just how BAD this Falkirk team were today. I can scarcely recall a Bairns team that was as utterly feckless as this one and the fact that they're looking forward to a cup semi final and we're not is really galling. It is correct to state that Kevin Cuthbert did not make a save in the entire game and it was so cold that he might have been suffering from exposure by the end.
Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06305776184987941557noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8677526178580402746.post-32534791679250555732013-03-23T18:29:22.174+00:002013-03-23T18:29:22.174+00:00You're right - I can't read!!You're right - I can't read!! They also seemed to be suggesting that Livingstone would make an announcement on Monday re their position with John McGlynn a favourite but not a certainty as they have interviewed a few candidates. Wonder if that will have an impact on Livingstone after their mauling at the hands of Partick. Still i would be confident of something from them if we play like we did today. A good solid team performance against a poor falkirk. Alan preston was touting Queen of the South's management team for that vacancy. cant see that to be honest Ian Toddnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8677526178580402746.post-79862562926331690952013-03-23T17:44:53.865+00:002013-03-23T17:44:53.865+00:00Hopefully that's one hoodoo laid. Sorry to see Dumbarton come back at what could prove to be the last game ever played at East End Park, but we're looking better tonight. Onwards and upwards!Kenneth Feehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14990654567049379003noreply@blogger.com
